TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

Tab Trade - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that range is solid.

Platforms

Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. Many pick one platform. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the default. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.

FIX API is offered for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That would be a good addition when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Good for beginners.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not relevant to the average person. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The speed is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package holds up. Few brokers in this bracket offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

This is the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should factor into how you think about it.

The deal: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.

The Bonus

TabTrade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
